Psychiatrists Grab Immigrants, Drug Them And Lock Them Up
Psychiatrists in Australia have a unique way of getting new patients. Apparently a loophole in Australian Immigration law permits them to forcibly commit some immigrants where over half of them are drugged with powerful mind altering psychiatric drugs.
Amnesty International is reporting that Australia’s mandatory detention continues to inflict psychological damage on detained immigrants. It cites the case of Peter Qasim, Australia’s longest-serving immigration detainee, who was committed to an Adelaide psychiatric hospital after almost seven years in detention.
It was reported that that they had spoken to “psychiatrists who’ve said that even if you had top notch psychiatric facilities within detention centers, it would be a bit like trying to treat sunburn in the sun, because the system itself leads to mental illness.
So after they have grabbed them, locked them up and drugged them - they become mentally ill and so it justifies the psychiatric hospitals to hold them longer. I’m sure that the Australian taxpayers ultimately end up paying tor this horrible scheme.
