Ritalin Use Linked To Cancer
Federal Health officials are investigating a new link between Ritalin and cancer.
A recent study found that every one of the children tested experienced “significant chromosome abnormalities associated with increased risks of cancer and other adverse health effects” This is as reported in the Houston Chronicle in this article about the Ritalin and cancer link
Also studied were children who “become psychotic or who developed heart problems” as a result of taking Ritalin or Concerta (a newer longer lasting type of Ritalin).
The Cancer Prevention Coalition has issued a warning against the prescribing of Ritalin. As they say: “There is no justification for prescribing Ritalin, even by highly qualified pediatricians and psychiatrists, unless parents have been explicitly informed of the drug’s cancer risks. Otherwise, prescribing Ritalin constitutes unarguable medical malpractice.”
It’s about time that the public become aware and informed about the dangerous “treatments” that psychiatry and big pharma are pushing to our kids. “Hyperactivity”, “ADHD” & “ADD” are in my opinion simply invented labels that psychiatrists simply use to put more and more kids on these types of drugs. These drugs seem to be as dangerous as any street drug and they should be banned.
